Cassiem great servant, but he's 30 and we need to reduce the age of our squad. As alluded to before by someone else he's probably on a packet. Gives us opportunity to bring Carwyn on.
But then a younger bloke like Kennedy goes, which defeats the purpose. We will be left with 33 year old Shingler and 30 year old Blade at 6 at this rate.

I think a lot of the angst is how quickly we have gone from being league winners and HC semi finalists to what we are now with a much better squad and showing all the signs of being "cash strapped scarlets" again, as RR said how about a little feedback as they will soon be wanting us to go and spend money when we are allowed back.
A much better squad? A lot of the names are the same, but age and injury has meant that many can no longer offer what they did in those two seasons.
Okay then an £8 million squad.
We're on damage limitation now due to the WRU not being able to pay for our services.
The budget isn't likely to be around that figure for a few years while this loan is ongoing I would think unless they renegotiate for longer repayment period.
I also feel that a lot of factors in our decline have been outside of the club's control. Having two head coaches pinched from us and then Covid isn't something you can really forecast.

The budget is likely to be slightly higher than this season for 2021/22 season.
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

Is that relatively up to date info?

With Kruger, Scholtz, Ball, Ratuva, Cassiem, Asquith, and possibly Thomson and McNicholl leaving, plus our squad size shrinking considerably, that would suggest we’re looking at bringing in some high end NWQ players.
