Sorry to sound stupid, but what does "on line only " mean?  Can I still view through Sky on my smart TV or is it only available on line on my laptop?

You'll only have access via a smartphone or tablet or PC / laptop. However you will still be able to mirror it to your TV. Either via settings on your phone *settings* - *more connections" - *wireless projection* or possibly via a square shaped icon, overlayed with a wifi symbol, in the top right corner of screen on your smartphone or tablet.

Thanks for that. Sounds a bit of a ffaff for £120, any other way to watch?

If you have Sky watch it on Sky when you subscribe.

The ELITE80 '£80 for 12 months' offer is still applicable for Premier Player and/or via Sky, but you can only use it once on your browser/device, so be careful to get it right first time!

Something went wrong the first time I tried it, and it doesn't confirm the amount when you go through to payment options, so I ended up paying £99. However, they have kindly agreed to refund me the extra £19.

Upgrade Premier membership to allow on line watching and then cast onto your TV?

Others on here know better how well that works.

If you have SKY it's £9.99 p.m.  Minus first month free or you can do 1 yr for £99.99.

Remember to put in a reminder to cancel the subscription with the requisite notice (6 months?).

Subscribed again. £99 though as the discount code wasn't accepted. Still cowboys.

Cant believe commentary last night they called Jarrod Evans Kristian Dacey but mixing up second row Seb Davies for Matthew 'Nipper' Morgan was superb!!!

I signed up yesterday and the discount code worked for me.  £80. Did you use all capitals?

Can I make a suggestion? Think of an incidental expenditure you have - maybe a regular latte in a coffee shop of your choice, maybe a pint of beer in your favourite pub or just maybe a Blueberry muffin or two for elevenses.

Just cut down on one of these per week and your Premier Sports subscription is paid for. I'm starting my 'moneysaving tips and good advice' web site tomorrow - feel free to subscribe.

Yes, except if I've ordered a blueberry muffin, that's what I expect to get. Ditto a coffee.

I expect a decent picture. Decent punditry and commentary. And dedicated Premier Sports production when in Ireland or South Africa. Not leaching off the Irish or South African coverage.

Well Rob I have gone with a middle ground decision. Cancelled the joke coverage for a year, bitten the bullet to cover the first months fixtures, cancelled again & still had the muffin. Only issue I now have is Cardiff away & Edinburgh home which I may have to watch in a delayed coverage or highlights.

I pay £99 a year, not just to watch the Scarlets but to enjoy any URC match that I can watch, regardless of the dodgy punditry I regard it as outstanding value for money.  I've  already spent over £100 to watch the Scarlets down the Parc for two matches.  In the same period I've watched half a dozen games as a neutral observer on Premier and its not yet the end of September.

Yes you are getting good value by watching that many games. I however do not put myself through watching any other game than the Scarlets & only then when its not on S4C or BBC Wales. For any other games I want to watch over a weekend I watch the welsh game covered by S4C/BBC Wales or the Premiership shown on BT Sport which has decent commentators/pundits. One tip I have learnt over the years watching Premier Sport is to do it with sound muted.

Pretty sure they leach off BBC Wales/S4C too.
It's all been cut to the bone. Fewer cameras and crew all round. Just look how many fewer TV trucks you see at PYS now on match day. The car park behind the East Stand used to be full At least 2 artic lorries plus some smaller vehicles and a crane. On Saturday there was only one truck there. No behind the post cameras.

I still buckled and paid though LOL

For all those interested, I will be creating a spreadsheet to illustrate the differences in numbers of trucks, personnel and cameras between URC and EPCR games Wink

I have paid for a year too. I watch a lot of the matches. I have to say that I think that the Scottish games are presented really well in comparison to the Welsh and Irish coverage.

This is probably because they tend to have John Barclay as a pundit.

Premier sports is being rebranded as ‘Viaplay’ from November 1st.

Not sure whether that will mean better picture and availability on more devices.

If you have a VPN , you can subscribe to supersports on South african TV...A huge amount of varied sport , plus all rugby from nz and ozzy ...I dont have a discount code , but its miles better than premier sports , plus it has a great app

Since this rebrand, I’ve noticed much more of their output.

Watching a lot of Scandinoir and other European noir, almost all in subtitles, I’ve suddenly realised that Viaplay have a lot of good stuff.

Let their overall production quality standards be visited on the rugby coverage. We all know it would be hugely welcome.

Should any of the crime fiction authors fancy tuning in to other Viaplay output, they could come up with plenty of other plot twists to expand their storylines.

For example, with tongue in cheek of course, Irish mafia in Pro14/URC rugby land. Whodunnits and the TMO decision making process, maybe alongside a roulette wheel casino background.

C: You’re one of Brian MacNeice and his many predecessors of partial, or incompetent for the avoidance of doubt, TMOs that have inflicted misery on Scarlets matches before we didn’t need any help Wink
D: Your glorious leader has said that if you continue to be this obliging, you’ll face death by anti-aircraft missile
E: None of the above and I’ve been hacked

PS D is probably very unlikely as I’d imagine your glorious leader (shift key malfunction so can’t give him his proper importance, if anyone asks) wouldn’t countenance any of his agents reading that nonsense.

I understand that The Oracle will resume normal service asap, once he’s finished following his glorious leader’s instructions to pray for the well-being of Nick White’s moustache during the 80 plus minutes of physical impact versus les RWC hosts.

It might be just malicious gossip but Oracle’s GL is thinking of joining in with Movember and sees Whites moustache as the ideal style.

Well tomorrow arrived and I'm shocked at those comments.... You sound like Nigel garage with his joking binoculars on the white cliffs of Dover ....interestingly NASA today has indicated that they have received notice that Aliens are in their way, and they were not talking about Albanians.... It will be interesting what they say to us when they arrive.. Especially if they arrive in London and ask... Take us to your leader.....I think that will pretty much confused every one.... Especially when a Chinook appears with a big nosed racist sticks her head out, followed by a daily mail journalist...... Any way that's my but if news for the brethren in the cast West....I must go now and pay tribute to our great leaderBig smile
