At game until the ref actually refs the offside line at rucks the game of rugby is knackered they miles offside every time we have ball.
Having said that we not looking after possession that well and scrums struggling big time.

Pen Costellow. 31 m gone. Tigers warned about pen count.

Who is this commentator? He wasn’t sure if Costelow had the range to nail a penalty from 41m out…

That sums it up for me... Scarlets the better team in most ways, but losing too many turnovers, some by being out-muscled, but others through sheer carelessness.

Should have had one or two more tries, really.

I've lost count of the number of turnovers. Reffel dominating the ball on the floor causing, us no end of problems. We're missing an out and out 7 big time.

Well it was back in 1884.... when we wore the colours for sure !! From Fiji to the Wallabies they all know where we're at........... The 72' All Blacks, they'll tell you that!!

Very grateful for the coverage - we didn’t do this for Nottingham fans.

But...commentary could be a little less biased for such a close game. We’ve done most things but not executed them. Tigers on the whole have been poor in attack but good defensively.

Costello can kick from distance and doesn’t spend much time on the wing! Also Delaney is not DOR! LOL

As pre season goes it ain’t bad. If we were firing we’d be 3 tries in the lead!

For some of our players first game, I am pleased with the performance. Yes we can be a bit more clinical and protect the ball more but we have to be realistic.

We are not being hammered in scrum, it is even, we get penalty they get a penalty

Tried a little too hard at the catch and drive, meat and drink to a Premiership side to defend.

Hardy’s a little up and down. Some slick service and some ponderous play.

Kalamfoni, Costellow and Tyler Morgan showed up well.

We are not getting hammered in the scrum. Firstly they cannot drive straight, and the pitch is cutting up like it’s the end of the season.

It may be that - otherwise, the touch judges have been 'less than generous' to the Scarlets with line out distances.

That is SO encouraging - it looked as if the Scarlets were playing to a pattern and a plan, and used runners coming short and long, kicks short and long - keeping the opposition guessing.

An excellent display, with also very many lineout steals and scrum pens to Samson (mainly)... only poor aspect was the breakdown in the first half especially - that needs to improve.

I'm encouraged by that. We tried to play at pace throughout, we minimised the number of times we played one out rugby, we persistently made ground in contact ( the effect of the wrestling training?) and the error count dropped as the game progressed.

The win was nice but the style was more important.

Thanks for the stream Tigers. Commentary hilarious.
Scott made a difference, such a strong carrier and that deceptive delayed pass. Welcome back.
Thoroughly deserved win, could have been 40. If Dan Davis had kept his feet there was an overlap, good break by him. Shingler and Sione  outstanding. Tom Rogers good in defence. Tom Philips showed up well again. Give him a contract.
I can still hear the commentators choking now. LOL

Very pleasing performance, Shingler's steals were outstanding, our defence on their notorious driving maul was well executed, and our off loading was excellent with the receiver wide awake. (the ball will always travel faster than the man) yes a friendly, but a better performance than we have used to before the pandemic. Optimistic for things to come. Oh yes Genge took a pasting.

Great win, mixed the play very well, keeping the Leicester Tigers defence guessing and honest (although according to Austin Healey and Co they were outstanding), peel has shown his hand for the coming season - we are going to play a high tempo game with plenty of support runners and options either side of the ball carrier, there also appears to be a lot less looking for contact and the ball is moved away from the contact area a lot quicker.  I have also noticed that we are not deploying the kick chase as much as in previous seasons either.
Taking Reffell off at half time really hurt the Leicester Tigers cause second half (hope he’s not injured), Pivac should look at capping him immediately as he qualifies for England on residency in the 12 months or so.  It will also put pressure on him to then move back to Wales when his Leicester contract then runs out.
I’m really excited about the start we’ve made under Peel, we appear to have structure and a game plan which doesn’t appear to be based on kicking and chasing (often poorly) and trying to win penalties and turnovers from the kicks.  By playing the way we are we are likely to get fans excited again and keen to return to PYS and to following the region again.  We are not going to win every match playing this way, but I strongly believe that fans would rather watch us trying to play this style of rugby than what we’ve be party to in recent seasons.
