Good choice, it's about time they had a back as captain.

Personally not sure about this one,

Nothing to do with him as a person or player.

More to do with him being based in France.

His Club will want him for X hours a week.

The welsh camp want him to do this press meeting, go to this school etc

OK its hard for all players to juggle their time, be he's now got the add hassle of travelling back from France.

Good point - I feel he is a bit detached when he is now based in France. Better to have a captain who is actually based in Wales. I'd have gone for Martyn Williams

Its about time he became captain. However being based in France could be a bad thing. Just look at Colin Charvis.

i dont think him being based in france will make a difference to hi ability to be a good captain as he would have been in the side anyway.

The stadium may change, but the dream will remain the same!

What harm did it do him?

I'd be interested to know why you think this?

this is always on the cards when our players wages are paid in week in week out by clubs in other countries

and these clubs cannot be governed by the WRU

Maybe the IRB can use rulings who knows

according to ruddock the autumn internationals are sanctioned by the irb, so toulouse will not be able to stop alfie playing.

The stadium may change, but the dream will remain the same!
