I wrote a post recently suggesting a transfer tax on these massive transfers. However Id like to underline this isnt a tax to punish success, the tax was merely an idea to spread some wealth back to grass roots. as for mr bale well what can you say, hes a class act , seems like a terrific bloke with a good family around him. a fine role model with an extraordinary talent. cant wait till his next game

Not bad for the first 30 mins!
Especially, for a Cardiff Lladro - as the Spanish satirical programme portrayed him.
Hope he gets the third.

The penalty taker is the penalty taker... and it's Ronaldo.

The worlds most expensive footballer can also net from 12 yards.

You'd hope so anyway.

Bale is doing the biz as i did hint before he signed. Excellent World class player.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

He can kick the ball around a player run off the pitch and his sheer pace and skill he recollects the ball and goes on and scores.....pace will always be a winner. I get the impression he is thriving with the class around him.

pace and determination but also the fitness and composure to steady himself to finish....most players when theyre cream crackered after a lung busting sprint take a wild swing into row z,but he was measured and controlled. spectacular.

It was a special goal - he must have run nearly twice as far as the guy who blocked him on the touchline, but he left him for dead - and was cool enough to finish.

Great player.
