Has there been any more interest from other members yet? What kind of numbers are we looking at?

Just one request, please? Can we make sure that Scarlet Pimpernel never gets involved with this in a serious capacity? I've had just about enough of his negativity and drama queenery.

Unless he's a contract lawyer and a chartered accountant rolled into one then I agree!

I think you'd have to add multimillionaire to that

I've e-mailed one [tidy] person I know is a big fan [not professionally useful,  I'm afraid] but had no reply yet.  There are a couple of others I have in mind, but I'm not in regular contact with them, so I'll ask them if/when I see them [one of these is a solicitor].
I reckon 10 to 15 would be  reasonable; not unwieldy, but enough to spread the load a bit and include some useful professionals.

I'm waiting to speak face to face with a couple over the next few days. Both have sound credentials in financial/legal practice. Both thoroughly dependable  people and lifelong Scarlet supporters. Both old friends. Phil Cooper and Phil Roberts, in case anyone knows them. Whether they have the time to get involved is another matter, but no harm in asking.

Ok, if I remember Phill, mentioned something about sending a mail to the guys at the Bristol Rugby trust, asking them for guidance, info etc.

(I can check on the Dictaphone later what he said.)

He suggested doing it from a scarletfever.org email account, o that they can see it is a genuine enquire.

Is this something we want to do, if so does someone want to right something, post it on here and then I can send it on from the sf@scarletfever.org email account.

Ok Bob sent me a letter this(last) weekend, I have now sent that on to the Bristol guys. will let you know of any response.

Got a reply back today

Wayne,

Congratulations on deciding on an excellent model to help your club and rugby in
your local area out.  I or one of my colleagues would be more than happy to
share experiences with you, please give me a contact number and I'll be in
touch.  I am pretty busy at the moment working away from home during the week
so please expect to get a call one evening when I've got some time.  It would
be useful if you could let me know anything in particular that you would like
to know.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,

Andrew Humphreys
Chairman
07710 782993

Anyone want to be the contact. I havent had much time to look at the handbook this week, so one of you may be a better option than me.

Original mail is below

If no-one else wants to speak to this man, I'd be happy to. If anyone else particularly wants to follow it up, then fine.

What was the email address he used? I see there's a mobile number but it would be good to have two forms of contact.

I also cc'd the original mail to enquires@brist.org.uk

But only had the mail back from his own account.

Guys, I have had a manic week and next week is no better. I am in London for a couple of days and have to write and prepare a Best Man speech by Friday afternoon too! Then I'm going over to NI for a couple of nights, back Monday afternoon - then this thing will have my full and undivided attention!

Cheers

Mike

Thanks to Barry (MM) for a copy of the handbook last night.
Jacqui Forster hasn't sent me the promised copy yet.

Maybe this next week would be a good time to finalise who we ask on board for the next round of informal talks?

I'm happy to meet anywhere.
I'll even ask Mrs major about opening the west wing of 'Major Towers' if Sarn Park services are unavailable...

I've been off radar for the last 10 days or so as well but should be able to catch up on things next week. So apologies for not having much input so far.
