It looks like Shingler is being considered an option at lock. That didn’t work out particularly well in the scrum when we last tried it around 10 years ago. He has filled out a bit since then, and we do have a stronger scrummaging front row these days, so it’ll be interesting to see he goes there.

And Samson too.

I think WillGriff may be away with Wales this year so hoping that Sansom can get back to his best with us.

Interesting to see Ellis Genge selected as Tigers club captain for this season - could go one of two ways...

Some experienced talent in their squad, with a wizard on the bench and couple of Boks to come back in to the squad - really looking forward to returning to Welford Road for this one. Thumbs Up

Such an awesome name. I've never heard of a WillGriff before.

Shingler played well against Nottingham, but I'm not convinced that starting two relatively slightly built second rows against a team normally associated with a tight, forward based game is the best idea. Of course if we can turn it into another running festival my comment will receive the kicking it deserves.

Oi, hands off, he is our best Jackler, an absolute pest on the field winning turnovers everywhere, he might just have enough years qualification under his belt to play for England soon.
