Quite so- a man on great stature and integrity. A centre who never seemed to be the star but who made others around him step up another level. And his winning record as captain was phenomenal.

Sad news this, John Dawes had the best ever winning record as a welsh player, captain and as a coach.

Sad loss. The best receiver and giver of a pass I have had the pleasure of seeing. He epitomised everything Carwyn believed in - let the ball do the work.
