Gwent and glamorgan would have strong sides i suspect as well in fairmess, wed have the best backs but they would have better forwards. Where was trevor evans from ? Good 7 in his time

That's fair. But when you are talking cream of the crop, how many made Lions. I suspect we are some way ahead. And Glamorgan is much bigger than Carms.

Missed by less than a mile:
RH Williams - born in Cwmllynfell on border with Carms
Gareth Edwards - born in Gwaun-Cau-Gurwen on border with Carms

Who have I missed?
Sorry, Ieuan doesn't qualify. Born and raised in the Bont for 5 years. Wink

I thought Dafydd Jones born in Aberystwyth and brought up in Aberaeron?

Maybe, as there are so many,  we should have the teams in different eras?

where was barry Llewellyn from?

I thought of him - great player, saw him play many times - but according to Wikipedia, he was born in Ashton, Lancashire, for some reason - Dad's work, I suppose.

Barry lived in the Hendy, his father was a Civil Servant I believe, working in the old Job Centres, as a Manager. Both Barry & Bryan went to Boys Gram.

Correct. Bronglais Hospital is within a stone's throw from where I am sitting. Stevo is another 'Bronglais boy'.

Absolutely... but maybe dad was posted to Lancashire earlier on in his career?

A totally under rated scarlets star, had a few cracking seasons with us, before heading north, beating the fantastic 84 aussies and winning the 85 cup final with a late drop goal
