In Gloucester, they played or still play the pod system where groups of backs and forwards play together and it allows a limited number of players to be commited to the breakdown while leaving some big men to run at small backs in open space. Worked for them....

But what are our players doing in training when they cant do the basics like er! catch the ball, and if they are running then no chance.

this has been said countless times before and each time its been proved wrong

Yeah. I remember a very vocal campaign against GJ after that 60 point mauling we had against Cardiff at Stradey in the Welsh Cup 1/4 final 4 or 5 years ago. I admit to having serious doubts back then.
But he proved me and the others wrong back then and he'll prove the doubters wrong again.

I think our problem has been not to capitalise on the Warriors demise like the other regions have. I'm sure that there were quality players that would have come to the scarlets.

All this talk about money, what about the 200k they've saved by not replacing SJ. I find it hard to believe that they haven't got the money to spend on new players when they get a wedge off the wru and we have the largest average gates over a season.

Was there any prize money for winning the Celtic league?
Can anyone shed any light on this please.

We are desperate for a tighthead and an outside half.

thing is, we lost out on most of the warriors because Cardiff had first choice because they were the weakest region, after that the ospreys/Dragons had the next batch. Someone on another post said we had the rejects no one else wanted, not far from the truth actually.

That process never actually took place. It was a free for all.
