Saw Dylan at the Motorpoint a few years ago when Mark Knopfler was supporting him.

I was very disappointed. Dylan croaked his way through his set. He sang many of his hits but I barely recognised any to be honest.

He was made to look very poor, coming on as he did after MK's polished performance.

MK may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he certainly knows how to put on a good show. Dylan was, as I said, a very poor second.

Can't say I'm impressed with anything he's done in the last 40 years. Sincere or not, his songs were tremendous before then

When I saw him in 2005, he didn't play anything written before 1980 and didn't say a word to the crowd.

It was quite the painful experience. Plus, in the Motorpoint, £4.50 and a half hour queue for a room temperature bottle of Tuborg? I'd prefer to sit in my car listening to a badly bootlegged tape of Dylan Live, drinking meths from a bag and contemplating gassing myself.

If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose.
