Absolute bo**ocks, it was most certainly a cheap shot. Im not excusing the mindless dangerous retaliation though.
The stadium may change, but the dream will remain the same!

Just read this thread from start to finish and I must say that I agree 100% with all of the above.

Brad should've gone, Ferris should've gone, both knock ons deliberate (should've gone), actually every knock on was potentially deliberate should've gone, players joining the rucks with any sort of force (especially using shoulders) should've gone, all tacklers causing opposing players feet to deviate an inch from the floor (if any part of upper body is less than an inch from floor) should've gone .... I could go on.

In fact I'm a bit disappointed that the game didn't finish 2 v 3 (uncontested scrums, obviously). I've only watched the game and the highlights once, but I'm sure if I go back and uber-scrutinise the game again I can get the other 5 cited for something.

And before the "By the Letter of the Law" Brigade come piling in with a pincer, I understand the laws that our robotic, jobsworth referees are just adhering to.

There's a documentary on later wondering why crowd figures are down.

Ferris cited as well.  This is the silly season now, it barely warranted a penalty, but the politcally correct brigade have taken over in the IRB.
I'm off to but shares a company making kids belts and tags for tag rugby and suggest they start making adult sizes as well as they'll all be playing tag soon as tackles will be outlawed.

George didn't even go back and peel McFadden off the grass when he ran over him. Red for excessive straight running, and another red for poor sportsmanship.

Bradley was correctly yellowed for being a dozy pillock and off the ball. That's about it for me.

Like Zep I'm trying hard not to forget the rules of engagement I was brought up on.
If I'd have tackled Ian Evans as Ferris did I'd be the one smiling and not him.
