Quade Cooper is currently embarrassing semi pros in lower league Aussie rugby!

Haha did you see the clip of him stopping the ball go out of play then as he was about to get smashed, he put in an audacious offload?

Yeah it was like the 3 most skilful things I've seen on a rugby field this year in a 4 second clip! I think he'd be a great signing. Might have to gag him but would suit our style of play.

It was unbelievable!! Someone sort a visa out for him!!

Let’s go for Quade then!
What a cover signing that would be!
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

Dinky - Is he out of form?
Asquith - Hasn't played 10 at this level
SHC - Could transfer to 10
Steff Hughes - Still learning
Parkes - Can do a 20 minute stint at 10?
Angus OB - Out ACL
Owen Williams - Could loan and but is ECC cup-tied
Priestland - In Bath's proper team on £300k
Steven Jones - hung his wellies up
Phil Bennett - not in the squad

It's all pointing towards an audacious move for Quade. You heard it here first!

If we're gonna go for flair we might as well snap up Damian McKenzie for the winter

I think he may be touring with the All Blacks, not playing second tier rugby in some Australian backwater. But if he wants a few weeks off to go play Kings in SA, cool, Mikey did it so why not!

I think Pivac puts just as much, if not more, value on personality and being part of the team as he does on skills. Would Quade fit the bill?

We are concerned about him. I need to reiterate and point out that player welfare is the most important thing for us.

Rhys is going to come in with us and we’ve even had the discussion we might not even play him in this campaign.

We’ll look after him, and he can train. I haven’t had this discussion with the Scarlets or their medical team, but having spoken to Prav Mathema (Wales medical manager) my view would be that if he did get another knock in the next game or in the next four to six weeks, then he probably needs to do what George North did and take the rest of the season off to get himself right.

We’ll assess where he is. When you get a few knocks it’s about confidence and if Rhys is brutally honest with himself, in his first game back against Connacht they were pretty direct against him.

He wasn’t keen on making too many tackles or taking the ball to the line, which are his strengths.

Not sure how wise Pivac was being this honest. Surely it will encourage some other teams to be "pretty direct" against him -teams that are less scrupulous about pinpointing weaknesses /injuries and taking advantage of them than we are. You only have to look at what happened on Saturday when O'Brien went down to see how that gave Racing the points needed to ultimately win.

Thought these were Gatland's words ?
