Really pleased with that, he can be fair and impartial there.

Away from Welsh derbies I actually rate Nigel as one of the best refs in the world mate.

I wouldn't celebrate just yet - he'll probably give them every 50/50 decision just to prove he's not biased toward his local region.

That's always a risk. I rate Nigel very highly as a ref, but just maybe he'll want to make sure the Scots can't blame him of bias. Overall, though, I'm happy with that appointment.
I share no-one's ideas. I have my own.

As happy as i am we have a good ref incharge on Thursday. I dont understand why they would chose a welsh ref to ref a Scottish and Welsh teams game which is being played in Scotland

Love it when he speaks Welsh to the boys. Pity Rory Pitman wasn't still with them! That would have really confused the Jocks!

I feel it does put unnecessary pessure on him. What if there's a Bradley Davies style tip tackle on one of our players ?

Will he be brave enough to go for red or bottle it and go for yellow ?

That was the touch judges call, the ref clearly said he didn't see it and he asked for a recommendation, which came back as yellow.  If Nigel saw that tackle I don't see him giving a yellow, straight red.
