I asked because its the first Olympics i remember. Carl Lewis winning four golds was simply breathtaking and one of my all time sporting heroes.
 
 
The Decker/Budd incident was massive considering the fuss there was pre Olympics about Zola competing for Britain.
 
I also remember Coe and his gold and Ovett being ill and not being at his best.
 
I could not believe however that Coe never won the 800m gold again.
