Played the full 80 in the 13 shirt and got a try
Ampthill lost (17-19) in the dying minutes at home to Doncaster, though they won the try count 3 tries to 1.

On a side note Nottingham got thrashed 52-3 by Ealing
Jac Price started, Evans and O’Connor on bench

Ampthill were down to 13 at one point in the last quarter. Their scrum creaked too much plus a deliberate knock on, I think.

Ealing have a multi billionaire owner now don't they? The next club on the rise imo. Good info on Joe Roberts though.

Ampthill have got a go fund me page going to raise funds to get them through this season as they have rejected the funding made available to them from the government.

Doesn’t sound like they have a billionaire backer.

Yeah Ampthill are struggling. Pre Covid they only had a playing budget of £500k

Mike Gooley, estimated net worth £360m it seems. That actually makes him richer than Nigel Wray of Saracens in fact (£315m)

Haven’t the Saracens supporters just raised £1000 between to help Ampthill out?
Only one team plays in red. (Sorry, Scarlet)

Just looking at the sides, Ampthill also have Llewellyn Jones as lock. One of our Academy. I just looked for his brother Carwyn, and found him at Vannes in Brittany playing D2.
