The squad has been announced, probably named tomorrow lunchtime

Quote Backs: David Lemi, Peter Murchie, Tommy Seymour, Colin Shaw, Alex Dunbar, James Johnstone, Troy Nathan, Ruaridh Jackson, Scott Wight, Murray McConnell, Henry Pyrgos

Forwards: Alan Dymock, Ryan Grant, Gordon Reid, George Hunter, Pat MacArthur, Fergus Thomson, Nick Campbell, Rob McAlpine, Tom Ryder, Rob Verbakel, Chris Fusaro, Calum Forrester, Ryan Wilson

Not considered for selection due to injury: Federico Aramburu (shoulder), Johnnie Beattie (elbow), Mike Cusack (ankle), Rob Dewey (shoulder), Moray Low (knee), DTV van der Merwe (shoulder).

My preferred team:

15.Murchie
14.Shaw
13.Nathan
12.Dunbar
11.Lemi
10.Wight
9.Pyrgos

8.Wilson
7.Fusaro
6.Forrester
5.Verbakel
4.Ryder
3.Grant
2.Macarthur
1.Reid

16.Ferg
17.Dymock
18.Hunter
19.Campbell
20.McAlpine - he must be BR cover, isn't he a lock?
21.McConnell
22.Rhubarb
23.Johnstone

7 with the main squad, 3 marked as As but haven't been released back like the others. Our only U20s guy McConnell is back with us. A few injuries too.

That would be Wight. He'll never be a world beater but a solid club pro that we all need. Chances are though Jackson will start despite no gametime due to injury.

Freezing tomorrow, rain later on, probable ice issue. Thursday is warmer but it'll be raining to some degree most of the time, might dry up for the game. Waterproofs are the order of the day, bring the thermals just in case.

It does have undersoil heating and I've no doubt it's on just to be safe.

I should get a job at the Beeb.

Parks has retired from International rugby with immediate effect. That should mean no Weir for definite.

A big loss for Welsh rugby, he could have waited a week.
