He's looked sharp

He has spilled the ball a couple of times, but he seems hungry for the ball and keen to get involved
Really lacks pace though

Give him a couple of games to get up to speed.

Since when can you learn to be fast?

It was the guys first game in god knows how long, give him a break.

Brew has always been fast hasn't he? proably not had much  pre season training so I assume once he gets upto full fitness he will get quicker?

Then again father time takes it's toll on everyone's legs eventually

He can have as many breaks as you like,he's not going to get any quicker.

A good run for the boys, and minutes on the legs for all the boys involved in the next weeks.
Cassiem is ready to start, Homer confirmed  me the good impression, Costellow needs an occasion but he has to dimostrate hardly wants it, cause O Brien showed good rugby.
Prydie was the surprise of the day at fullback, even if it was an easy day in defence for him.
Line outs remain a little problem, but have time to work in it.

Exactly, I think give him a wee bit of time & he'll be up to speed.

Yes he's lost some of that pace. Conbeer would have been over from that move in my opinion. Our back 3 choices for Benetton, with Prydie really putting his hand up for a FB start today, should be Prydie at FB, Steff on one wing & Conbeer or Tom Rogers on the other. I would start either AOB or Costellow in Benetton unless a deluge is forecast. If top of the ground running conditions play both in the 23. Homer will push very hard for the starting jersey after today.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed that. A great way to spend Friday lunchtime. Is there a way for the regions to make a few bob from streaming these games or does it cost them? I'd love to see a few more as the season moves forward - great to see the rest of the squad get some games.

they could have had money from ospreys game but ospreys said no. Odd in these times.

Streaming it wouldn't have cost anything. Just starting a live feed. Could have received income from a sponsor perhaps.

Not enough being said about the kids on show for the scarlets. Everything pretty much with the difference in budgets and the amount of "first teamers" involved with Scarlets.

Mathias, OConnor, Rees, Price, Morgan, Miles, Tuipolotu, Blacker, Homer, Costellow, Roberts all waiting to get a debut or first start. Even Rogers can be chucked into that list.

Encouraging from the Scarlets kids. Each of them gave the coaches something to think about.

For anyone who couldn't see it, there's a highlights video on the Scarlets instagram page.

Haven’t seen the game yet but it seems encouraging from the posts on here. Clearly no need to get especially excited as it was only an A team game against a Dragons squad that lacks strength in depth. The misfiring at the lineout is beginning to worry me, let’s hope that the coaching team will have a solution by next week. Otherwise a similar performance and result in Treviso next week is the most important thing that can come out of this game.
