The pro 14 is to recommence on 22 August (following a 5 month break) according to the BBC.  They state that there will be 2 weekends of derbies followed by the semifinals and final (all played behind closed doors).
They also stated that European Rugby qualification has been agreed based on the finishing position when the lockdown began, meaning that we qualify for the Champions Cup for next season, regardless of how we do in August.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the WOL believe that we are favourites to host those derby games.

Perhaps the coaching staff will use the games as pre-season friendlies considering that we’d need a minor miracle to reach the semifinals and that we’re already guaranteed a european place. Would other supporters back this or is the need to have bragging rights over other regions more important?

It’s a big bonus that we’re in the champions cup.  Let’s get playing and hopefully winning rugby.

Kennedy and Tex are back in Aus and Fiji I think. They'd better get back over here and start self isolation.

Don’t get me started on this self isolation/ quarantine business, they are far less likely to catch Covid-19 in Fiji and Australia respectively than in the uk, they are safer at home.

doesnt look like we will get into the semis as someone has said online that we need munster to lose both their games and for us to win both ours.

how come we are favoured to have the matches? what about the hospital? wouldnt the liberty be a better option as there isnt a hospital there?

question too, imagine the games will be on premier sports? my subscription expires 1st august! got it on the £49 deal from last year. wonder if we will get another offer like that?

I'm sure I saw on Instagram that Ed is heading back to Wales, hopefully Tex will be too if he's not already here!

There is talk that the hospital/COVID-19 ward will be decommissioned soon, this and the fact that we have the barn and it’s changing facilities all on site, and we don’t share it with anyone else, puts us in a better position apparently.

email from Scarlets

Season tickets and match tickets update for 2019-20 campaign

First of all, we hope you and your families are safe and healthy during this difficult time.

Many of you will have read the announcement that the Guinness PRO14 is set to resume in August.

Unfortunately, the ongoing situation with Covid-19 and government regulations regarding social distancing mean it is unlikely that supporters will be able to attend the matches that will make up the remainder of the campaign.

A lot of you will now have questions about what happens next regarding current season tickets as well as packages for next season.

Before the postponement of this season, we were due to play three more matches at Parc y Scarlets — Dragons, Leinster and Munster — as well as a ‘home’ Judgement Day game against Cardiff Blues at the Principality Stadium.

Supporters who have bought individual match tickets, season ticket holders and half-season ticket holders will have various options, with the full details to be confirmed in due course.

We have been working on the technical solutions required to deliver these options and will let fans know the full details once the systems are up and running.

A number of supporters have asked us how they can help the club at this time and we are hugely grateful for this gesture. We understand that the community as a whole, individuals, families and businesses, are coming under financial pressures and your support is truly appreciated.

Fans will have the option to support the club by gifting the remaining value of their tickets. That money will help fund our Academy to safeguard the Scarlets of the future and the Scarlets Community Foundation, the charity arm of the Scarlets.

Other options will include putting the money as credit towards future Scarlets purchases or, if supporters wish, they can opt for a refund.

Scarlets chief operating officer Phillip Morgan said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to our fans for their support and patience during this hugely challenging time.

“Over the last few months we have seen the Scarlets community come together in supporting the work on the field hospital at Parc y Scarlets and in delivering care packages to those in need across the region.

“Since we have gone into lockdown, our revenue streams from match-day and non-match day events have stopped completely and we are now faced with the prospect of games being played without supporters in the stadium.

“We are putting together a number of options for our loyal ticket holders and from the many messages we have received it is fantastic and heartwarming to see their unwavering support and also so many saying they will offer their refunds as support back to the club.

“Throughout the process we have been in close dialogue with our supporters trust Crys16 to map out the best way forward for both the club and the fans. As a result we are close to finalising the various options and will provide full details on how these options can be taken up very soon.”

With regards to our European Challenge Cup quarter-final in Toulon, we are awaiting an update from tournament organisers EPCR on ticket refunds if the decision is made to play the match without any supporters in the stadium.

In light of the continued uncertainty over when fans will be allowed into grounds, we have decided to delay the launch of our 2020-21 season ticket packages.
