A case of double standards today when the Welsh Conservatives called for the findings of an enquiry into Labour's handling of the pandemic in Wales be published before next year's Senedd elections.
Boris refused to publish the report into Russian interference in the Brexit vote before last year's GE. He still hasn't published it by the way. One wonders what lurks in there. It is a well accepted fact that Cummings spent time in Moscow between 1994/1997. One alleged reason for Boris suppressing the report is that the Conservative party has seen its contributions from wealthy Russians increase in the last few years. The report was prepared by an All Party Group of MP's sitting on a Commons Select Committee, and chaired by Dominic Grieve, a Tory MP.

359 People have died in last 24 hrs
This is 75 fewer people than last wednesday New cases are 1871 Down from 2013 last week Tests 171000 in the last day Theres a massive black lives matter again in London later I support their cause and deplore the murder in america But I do not condone any incidents where they break social distancing and spread this disease Nor do I condone violence on either side Finally someone asked about the remarkable change in spain It took a 15 year old girl to ask, not a seasoned professional journalist The waffling answer to this was less impressive |

The fatality rate has flat lined over the last 2 weeks. Gutted after some clear positive case progress.
In fact there were slightly more fatalities in the last 7 days than the previous 7. Dismaying. As has been pointed out, the rest of the EU have fatalities in rapid decline. Pretty sure that the all EU countries total fatalities put together won't reach ours for yesterday. Wish someone would ask about this at the PM session. |

Oh for self-effacing, objective, scientists like these. http://https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-52903717
Politicians, this is the standard of honesty and objectivity you need. Multiply their population and deaths to Make a comparison with the U.K. and their still well ahead of us at close to half the total UK deaths.

If the death toll rose to something close to that of the USA (and I seriously hope and believe that it wont) you can bet your bottom dollar that this government and the spokespeople from PHE etc would somehow attempt to put a positive spin (pardon the pun) on it and try and persuade us of what a wonderful job they have done during this pandemic.
I have no trust in them. They are just very fortunate that they have another 4 years to salvage their own jobs, if there was a general election next year I believe they would be out.”

Did anyone watch pmqs today? A strange affair Starmer seemed to lack a bit of dynamism, meanwhile boris seemed to work himself up into a bit of a lather at times sort of raising his voice and sounding irate. Couldnt help think it felt like a performance to show hes back in charge , which coincidentally was the telegraph headline. so who was in charge before? Probably the same person who went for an eye test at a castle and has probably just ordered boris to tell us hes in charge now. As for the details it also seems vague but I THINK daily test total includes the anti bodies tests too? why are they adding the 2 together? surely this is a totally different test and should be seperate. Its like they are immune to the truth not the disease. Edited by roy munster - 03 June 2020 at 10:06pm |

If anyone hasnt seen the video of the horrific murder of george floyd its on youtube but honestly its the most evil racist scum Ive ever seen. Those cops were absolutely deranged and thank goodness theyve now all been arrested. Clearly though this is the tip of the iceberg.

Goodness me thats horrific. Yes read it now a retired police office attending to a looted shop was killed by gunfire Strange how the bbc hasnt mentioned that eh? Theres clearly been some kind of insurrection here, this band of merry rebels includes a vast number of criminals with dubious intentions. The protests have gone way over the top and no doubt the spread of covid from it will also kill many more lives that also matter. I doubt the preaching celebrities will mention this much either.

Unfortunately you’re always going to have people hijacking a peaceful protest. However considering the number of protesters and the lack of any major violence / riots I think it’s safe to say that those people do not represent the view of the true anti-racism protesters. However I do find it ludicrous that people come out to protest as it will almost certainly result in increased virus transmission. Surely it would have been better if they took part in some sort of virtual / doorstep protest rather than risk so many lives when they’re whole message is that ‘black lives matter.’

I can see both sides of this the black community imo are treated unfairly in the usa and the police officers acted in a disgusting manner
They should be arrested tried and convicted like any other criminal and the black community has every right to protest about their actions both in the usa and in the uk However the common sense thing is not to have a mass protest under the current circumstances especially as BAME people seem to be especially vulnerable to this disease. If these protests lead to an increase in illness from this virus or god forbid deaths then the people who have arranged the protest and those who have encouraged people to take part really need to take a good hard look in the mirror Maybe some sort of socially distance protest from a doorstep where people "take a knee" at a set time similar to the clap for carers As for George Floyd (and this in no way excuses the police officers actions) but he is being hailed as some kind of saint , but let's not forget he had convictions for violent offences, drug offences and committed an armed robbery on a woman for which he was jailed The media in large have refused to report this and I do wonder why where there is so much coverage on this when similar atrocities are being carried out globally every day |
