Any news on any people linked to the top job yet? I would imagine the interview process/ discussions have begun? |

Cheers for the info. Yea using the principality stadium is a risk so why not host at CCS? Can fill that surely? Love the idea season ticket holders get a subscription discount great thinking

Thanks for posting that Nobby, I am a member of Crys but living so far West can't make it to meetings. Things are looking very positive especially the points for the Scarlets, I love the target of being CC finalists within 3 years. Can't really argue with the risk of hosting Pro 14 final at the MS but I would love to see Judgement Day held on a Saturday in September when Cardiff is nice weather wise & all sides have something to play for...

Great to read the comments from the Crys16 AGM last night - thanks to Chris (Wasp/@ccurts2) for tweeting the meeting.
Key points (with apologies to Chris for shameless copy & paste...):
Really positive statements and very welcome transparency in all dealings. We have something very special in Crys16 (if you're not a member yet, why not?!) and the direction of travel for all of Welsh rugby is so encouraging - we're in good hands. Edited by NobbySosban - 13 July 2018 at 1:53pm |

Lam and Rennie both started new jobs this past season at teams with more money than us. Can't imagine they'd be an option.

Pat Lam. Dave Rennie. These are coaches that may fit the bill.

We're streets ahead of where we were when Sean was here temporarily, and that's why we need someone experienced that is going to be able to take us up to the next level from where Wayne has left off. We've done the jobs for the boys and local coaches to death over the years, and having Wayne at the region has just shown how important and vital it is that the we find and recruit the right coach for the role.
Shame it has taken us so long to get there, but better late than never
After what has seemed like a thousand false dawns, I actually do believe that the Welsh game (unions & regions) are finally working together with full commitment and trust. Haven’t been as excited for a league season and European campaign since... well ever. Confident that the Scarlets will produce another fine season and let’s just hope that we can get that elusive Welsh Heineken Cupwin before Wayne moves on. |

Personally, I am not too certain that a Welsh coach could run the national team these days as we get rather tribal when things go wrong and the regional resentment then kicks in. If you have an outsider like Wayne Pivac it's not the same type of pressure on the coach. So I am not sure if a Welshman proper will work as Wales coach through thick and thin times -just my personal view. Anyway it wont happen now for 5 years !
