Agreed, we need a serviceable winger In that mould. Suffered mental health issues but has been quite open about it, perhaps a one year deal could give him a new lease of life. Could help our young players massively

Alex Jeffries is a very good signing for you guys. Everytime he came on for us he was solid in the scrums and very good in the loose.

Our back 3 resources for the start of the season are Jonny, Steff ( probably), Ioan & Prydie. I would add Conbeer to that list and that leaves Clayton. If Clayton stays then we may not recruit but Michael Collins is apparently out of contract. He can play FB & centre.

Halfers will be in Japan methinks. Collins for Clayton is sound business in my mind. The games played during the World Cup & 6 nations are going to have a huge bearing on our season. If our coaches don't deem some of our youngsters ready for pro 14 action then we need to make alternative arrangements. Steff Hughes to cover 10/12; Ioan & Corey to cover 11/13 & 14; Conbeer at 11. Someone like Collins and Tom James ( for a season) could well make significant contributions.

Ah sorry GPR I misread the post & didn't see the 'start' bit! I think Tom James would be a good signing for a year initially, not much will be expected of him so he can really have a good crack.

Indeed I can. Is it my impatience or am I right in thinking that some of these lads should really be making the breakthrough next season? I remember getting up off my seat when Ryan scored that wonderful try against Ulster but things seem to have stalled.

Yes with regards Ryan he his a fantastic running talent but there are signs he as improved his defence that was weak, Tomi Lewis his similar needs to improve his defence . Tom Rogers who I believe will develop in to a talented 15 for us decent pace 'good in the air and a solid tackler, Tom and Morgan Williams playing for Wales 7s in London tomorrow live on Sky Sports . |
