Apologies I wasn't suggesting it would happen to us, Ireland's set up is quite different to ours.

This is the problem with the game under the current format. It's great having the big name international stars, the likes of Foxy, Sanjay, Halfpenny etc. But it's so frustrating when they hardly feature due to their international commitments. Lets hope change is coming.

From Scarlets website.
Scarlets confirmed in December that The players who will be leaving the Scarlets are Hadleigh Parkes, Kieron Fonotia, Corey Baldwin, Jonathan Evans, Morgan Williams, Simon Gardiner, Rhys Fawcett and Tom James, who is retiring from professional rugby. He was Scarlets player of the season in 2015-16 after playing every minute of every Guinness PRO12 match and a key member of the Scarlets title-winning squad of 2017. His ultra-consistent performances at the heart of the Scarlets three-quarter line earned him a Wales Test call-up that year and a place in Warren Gatland’s World Cup squad in 2019. Some surprises in there. Wasn't expecting Ioan to be off but the forwards/set-piece (especially line-out) haven't been as good recently. I assume his contract was up and he was the last of the previous management set-up. John Barclay anyone??
Gutted to see Hadleigh go - the recent replay of the quarter final v La Rochelle showed him at his best. Jonathan Evans - such a shame he picked up his injuries, as he had a very good year when we won the pro12. The biggest shame is not being able to give all of them the traditional season end send-off that they deserve. |

So we now need some centres, one or two new back 3 players, a new scrum half (I would have liked to have kept Jon Evans as I thought he was a class scrum half and a great 2nd/3rd choice to have and still with loads to give given his age), and a new prop. We might see Kelmsley Matthias step up more next season.

I wonder whether Glenn Delaney has been allowed to build his on coaching setup and hence Ioan is leaving. It’s sad to see another Welsh coach leaving the professional rugby system.
Diolch a pob lwc Ioan. It sad that the coaches and players won’t have the opportunity to have the end of season send off that we are so good at as club.

Tyler Morgan confirmed as a Dragons leaver, guess that means he's definitely signed for us?

I'm hoping for a new singing to bring a bit of excitement to the supporters today but I imagine it'll be a renewal which isn't such a bad thing I guess.
