Smelly's favourite player and his health and future well being is paramount, so my best wishes to him. We have missed his presence this season and a sincere thankyou for his efforts in Scarlet.
And well done to the Hospital staff who kept him on planet Earth.
Thanks Rhys.

Thanks Rhys. You had come into a good vein of form just before the unfortunate incident, and it will be a shame to lose you from the Scarlets. Make a good, and full, recovery and all the best with whatever the future holds for you.

A real shame, but not unexpected.
Rhys gives a clear account of what happened - it's clear that all (physios, ambulance, hospital staff and surgeons) did an excellent job to keep him with us. He was playing probably his best rugby for the Scarlets before this happened, and along with Iestyn's retirement this leaves a huge gap for the Scarlets to fill next season. Good luck for the future, Rhys! (BTW - are the ages in the report right? Rhys is said to be 29, and his eldest child is 17 - apparently...) |

Very best wishes to Rhys.
He always put in a shift, and the pack has really missed his energy and presence. |
