He never had a kicking game, and then it got worse. Hospital passes, up blind alleys, you name it. His head was gone and the new lads at both clubs are far better.

Matthew Scott. 12/12 though has been playing the latter for Embra, it's his first pro season but he's been a bit of a revelation.

Parks did have some good games but he was negative a lot of the time. He could not pick the right guys to pick on either, I remember him in Cardiff telling 157cb there would have been a different result if he had played that evening, I will never forget mark's reply which still makes me laugh.

Neither would I ! It's at times like this I thank the Lord I'm Welsh !

What? If you weren't Welsh you'd be a current international rugby player?

I think he's retired a week too early.  I'm gutted he won't line up for Scotland one last time, in his new home city, Cardiff.  It makes planning for game far more difficult for Gatland and co now.  He's worth 10 points in botched opportunites to the oppsotion every game.

Why do you feel sorry for him? If he wanted to play for scotland, he shouldnt have played about 20 age grade games for wales!

So why did Scotland pick him?

I wil NOT be buying drinks for everyone tomorrow. ONLY Geordie Scarlet. My original statement was taken out of context.

They wanted him because Parks is crap and they haven't got many alternatives.
The stadium may change, but the dream will remain the same!

I agree with redeyes on this - it's just not right that you play for one side all throughout the age-grade and then change your mind to choose to play for another country when it comes to senior rugby.

Why feel sorry for Shingler??

He should be busting a gut IMO to get into the Wales squad, not selecting to go to train with Scortland!!

He was quite happy to be in the whole Wales marketing campaign a few months ago!!

No loss, just a boring drop goal kicking no 10. Nice sideburns though, he will probably be remembered more for those pin sharp streaks of hair, down his chops.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"
