As someone who has been called a "loony conspiracy theorist" on here for refusing to believe the far-fetched/official western government "explanations" regarding such occurrences as Labour Party anti-Semitism, the Skripals poisoning and 9/11. Perhaps those with uncompromising faith in what the authorities and their media vassals want them to believe need to read the following article to see where this trust is leading to.

For every conspiracy theory there are equal arguments for and against. It’s up to the individual which to believe.

I suppose it depends what we mean by 'equal', doesn't it? The Brexit farce has convinced me once and for all that if (some) people are persuaded that they're right, absolutely NO amount of evidence from experts ('experts' have been neutralised by, for example, Trump's 'fake news' schtick and by the tabloid/gutter press) will convince them that they are mistaken. It's all a bit cult-like, reminiscent of Hale-Bopp doomsday scenarios, followed by mass suicides! (FWIW, I don't believe in Ffidel's conspiracy theories either, but it's useful to have them aired. Just because they are almost certainly wrong does not mean that the 'exact opposite' is necessarily true.)
