I don't think it's wrong. I'm sick of their hypocrisy and I shall tell them so.

The kick took place about 2 minutes after the ref's decision. Why didn't they fall silent during the kick, instead of increasing the volume when Halfpenny started his run up ?

I assume because the kick was as a result of the penalty????

I've heard many a Welsh fan boo perfectly correct penalty kicks, nevermind, dubious ones.

In fact 2 years ago I remember Dan Carter feeling the wrath of the Welsh fans for the entire game due to a high tackle.

So have I, but those same fans do not hush the opposition fans for their own kicks. That is the difference.

I don't really like booing, and you can read the match thread to see I say the Welsh fans doing so were getting on my nerves, but the double standards displayed by the Irish crowd was deplorable and completely undermines the principles of their previous insistence upon a respectful silence for the kicker. As soon as you do that, you lose the moral high ground and additionally the right to complain when others do not adhere to your selectively-enforced rules.
