Anyone the Blues sign as a 10 is a sign of desperation and should be avoided at all costs.

I don't find the Irish arrogant, speak as you find. I think their pundits have lost touch with reality however, really surprised at Keith Wood, who I always though offered a balanced view.

I wonder if Liam Toland from the Irish Times regrets saying this in October:

Quote Jonathan Davies must be the most limited outside centre in the RWC 2011. In defence he shoots up in a skewed version of the famed Wasps defence Warren Gatland loves but he lacks the dexterity of footwork and flat out pace of his opposite man. He also lacks the symbiotic relationship with his partner Roberts that O’Driscoll has with Gordon D’Arcy. It is his distribution that will affect Wales most. Contrast that to our two in midfield. As the Welsh don’t over commit to the breakdown I expect turnovers. Davies plays rugby by numbers and fails to create any real opportunity for his outside backs.

Their rugby "fraternity" may be arrogant but if you had listened to Frank Henessy's Celtic Heartbeat after the game you would have heard that the ordinary Irish fans are a totally different bunch.

To be honest I love beating Ireland more than England now. The cheap shot but Conor Murray on Foxy as he scored his second sums them up.

I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned on TV as the touchdown was repeated time after time.  Murray went in with both knees on Foxy's legs.  If Foxy had reacted soemthing might have been done.  Cheap hits on the try scorer are all too common these days unfortunately.

You Irish think you're better than what you are. Wales are a superior team to you. We have beaten you 3 times in a row and once convincingly in a wc quarter. All week we heard how Ireland were going to beat Wales etc and gain revenge but realistically Wales were always the favourites considering the ease with which you were brushed aside at the world cup.
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

For such a superior team you must be pretty pissed off that it took an illegal try in 2011 and a debateable last minute pen in 2012 to beat us thenLOL

There isn't as much difference between the 2 sides as you think.

And you must be pretty annoyed that a severly under strength Welsh side playing at 70% beat you in your own backyard. Priceless!

indeed the penalty wasnt remotely debatable. It was a great game and wales deserved to win it
theres not a huge gap between the sides. I'd say overall Ireland have a few more players and therefore this gives them the edge in the heineken cup, wales have regions set up 7/8 yrs ago and their player base is slightly smaller , plus several top players are outside wales. The irish provinces have been around since the dawn of time so their structure is more settled than the welsh regions. BUT Id suggest whilst ireland has more quantity, wales has more quality. especially in the backs. wales produces backs with pace, fitness, skill and flair. Scotland never seem to produce such players and Ireland are somewhere ebtween the 2. I do feel Irish backs are a bit overrated. I also feel their forward pack sometimes try to over rely on brute force rather than more subtle skills.
