Agree with you there, for the first time in a while the pack isnt our problem, it's the stupid game plan being imposed on the players by the coaches and tonight our half backs were bloody awful
You lied to me Edward. You lied to me. There is a Swansea... and other places.

I'm not saying the pack aren't. Our backrow never seems to function. Once warburton went off we faded. Lydiate will tackle like a demon always but we need more than that from the others. we got over the ball but had no loose forwards to help the halfbacks. why? what were they doing?

God knows mate, Phillips didnt help matters by being so slow getting to the breakdown, our centres and wingers looked quite sharp when they got the ball but without service there is not much they could do

This crap about using the width of the field is starting to annoy me. Mike fed it to Adam once tonight up  a blind alley within the 5 yard line. What the frap? We do this apparently so that when we move it right we then have the whole width of the field?

But, this is then countered by crabby Phillips and these huge miss passes which achieve nothing and aid a drift defence. Running inside shoulders seems tro be a forgotten art form in modrn rugby, and I despair at times. If defences are improving due to fitness, then negate that. How? Surely, by slowing them down, slowing their drift down. Run inside shoulders for goodness sake, how hard is it,

Our backiline looks good with Hook at 10 btw.

I thought this was an excellent post - until I read the last line. Is that a weird joke of some sort?Confused

As for the rest - I can't understand why Gatland persists with such a predictable system - it's soooo easy to defend, if you know Wales are going to keep passing the ball in the same direction until they reach (and sometimes, cross) the touchline. Let the players think on their feet, FFS! Many of them are capable of it, when allowed to do so...
I share no-one's ideas. I have my own.

Indeed - where was he when their second row pinched the ball of the back of our ruck to score?

Having said that - THINKING players would have noticed his absence, and someone would have taken responsibility for the ball instead of sticking their heads up each other's a***s. It doesn't seem to me that Gatland encourages 'thinking' in his players - he's coming across as the anti- Carwyn at them moment...
