He was down for a while and hobbling in the defensive before he went off straight after. Fingers crossed he's back soon, he showed up quite well today.

I'd personally look to load the bench for the away trip with returning internationals and possibly rotate the side a bit for the home game

15 Halfpenny
14 McNicholl
13 Steff H
12 Fonotia
11 Steff
10 Dan
9 Hardy
8 Cassiem
7 Macleod
6 Shingler
5 Lousi
4 Ball
3 Samson
2 Elias
1 Rob

16 Ken
17 Wyn
18 Kruger
19 Cummins
20 Blade
21 Cawdor
22 Lamb
23 Parkes

Think, think, think - it's a thinking man's game!! - The Great Carwyn James.

Wayne Pivac on Shingler:-

Q: The latest on Aaron Shingler?

WP: Too early on. Not too sure yet. Haven’t had a chance to speak to the medical staff.

He took a knock and we pulled him off as a precaution. We’ll see in the next hour or two.

I’d go:

Wyn ken Samson Jake blade shingler cassiem Macleod Cawdor lamb Steff fonotia parkes McNicholl halfpenny

Rob Elias Kruger lousi Kennedy Hardy Dan asquith
History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

Don't disagree with much there although I do not see Blade as a 2nd row especially against what is reported to be the biggest side in Europe. He is fine covering the row like Aaron for the last 30 minutes or so but i would start Sam with Jake, make sure we win the battle so 2nd half we can win the warWink

The first time we have been able to put out a side with our internationals, this is exciting. Can Blade play 6, Cassiems carries from the base of the scrums are so effective.

We have to go all out full strength for this game. I agree with Casseim at 8, Blade had done nothing to deserve a place so far, even in the 23.

Bayonne coming off a heavy away defeat as are we. no idea if they made any changes to their usual side to face Toulouse. I know we are expected to make at least 10 changes from the side that travelled to Belfast.

I'd go:
15. Leigh Halfpenny
14. Johnny McNicholl
13. Steff Hughes
12. Hadleigh Parkes
11. Steff Evans
10. Dan Jones
9. Gareth Davies
8. Blade Thomson
7. Josh Macleod
6. Uzair Cassiem
5. Sam Lousi
4. Jake Ball
3. Samson Lee
2. Ryan Elias
1. Rob Evans
16. Ken Owen
17. Wyn Jones
18. Werner Kruger
19. Lewis Rawlins
20. Aaron Shingler
21. Jonny Evans
22. Ryan Lamb
23. Paul Asquith

don't think its wise to have all our internationals thrown in to start. we had a bit of a backlash of that last week where Elias, Samson, Hardy, Steff Evs didn't train with the squad at all before travelling to Belfast.
Also, with Elias,he needs to play, Rob has been with us all season, so a bench if Wyn, Ken and Kruger for front row is huge IMO to come on around the 50/60mark.

Look forward to see who the coaches select though as they must think Christmas has started early when you look at who people cant fit in their 23 even!

If Bayonne indeed have the biggest pack in Europe, this is going to be some battle for us as its a part of the game we are easy targets.
