With deep sadness im posting this on that Baz has died today. Sudden and totally shocked that a friend that I met through the Scarlets is no longer travelling everywhere for a team he adored and cherished.
Mine and my families sincere condolences to Val and all their family, RIP the biggest of big men....will miss youBaz. |

Oh no - so sad. A big character and loyal fan. Met him Val (and his do) in a service station years back by Monmouth en route to Llanelli from the Midlands . Great guy -such a shame.

Bev told me at 6pm that Baz had died and I feel no shame in telling you that I was in tears on our drive home.
Baz was one of the kindest and most happy of souls even with his debilitating diabetes;I was stood in front of him at the Kingspan stadium,he was enjoying the atmosphere even after a horrendous journey from the Midlands on a coach and ferry and on to Belfast and back again for the love of the region. RIP Baz,thank you for being so friendly, you will not be forgotten by those who knew and respected you. Our condolences to Val and the family. You will be missed Baz Edited by daveoda - 19 December 2014 at 10:16pm |

Shocked by this news, to say he was a character is an understatement. The Scarlet family is a close knit bunch as my daughter Albatross who is in Argentina had heard the news already by the time I spoke to her at teatime. She to sends her condolences as she enjoyed his company as recently as Sunny Toulon.
RIP Big Fella. 😥 |
